Structure
There are various positions that form the hierarchy of the Student Senate. The structure of this organization is explained below.
The Executive Slate
The slate holds the most responsibility and influence when it comes to managing the affairs of the Student Senate. The president and vice-president are elected by the student body sometime in March or April. Soon afterwards, the winning candidates, the advisors, and the previous slate appoint the secretary and treasurer.

Class Officers and Cabinet Members
The class officers and cabinet form the bulk of the Student Senate. Led by the class president, the class officers and cabinet members organize various events for their respective class. In addition, they help run all Student Senate-organized events. Class officers are elected by the student body sometime in April. Cabinet members are appointed by the slate in May.

Standing Committees
The purpose of each of the standing committees is to plan and coordinate events and projects that fall within its jurisdiction. The five standing committees are Student Activities, Service, Spirit, Faculty and Staff Relations, and Evaluation Publicity. The Senate members are assigned to each committee and are led by their respective committee chair.
Committee Chairs
- Established a schedule of meetings
- Requests financial support for committee projects
- Maintains records of members' attendance at meetings and projects
- Submits committee reports to the Secretary following each meeting
